Gift Aid is a government scheme that lets UK charities claim back basic-rate tax on donations made by UK taxpayers. When you donate and say “yes” to Gift Aid, your chosen charity can increase your gift by 25% at no extra cost to you. If you’re a higher-rate taxpayer, you can also claim extra tax relief through your Self Assessment tax return.
