PAYE Coding Notice

« Back to Glossary Index

A PAYE Coding Notice (form P2) is an official letter from HMRC telling you what your tax code is and how it’s been worked out. Your tax code determines how much income tax your employer deducts from your wages. If your circumstances change, always check your coding notice for errors so you pay the right amount of tax.
