Rental Income

« Back to Glossary Index

Rental income is the money you receive from letting out property, such as houses, flats, or rooms. It includes rent payments, but also income from things like parking or cleaning fees if they’re part of the rental agreement. Most UK landlords must declare their rental income to HMRC and pay tax on profits after allowable expenses.
